Fife-based black pudding and haggis specialist, The Farmer’s Son, has secured a deal to supply the world’s leading department store Selfridges London. This is the latest success for The Farmer’s Son who already stocks his traditionally made haggis and black pudding in the high-end shops of Booths, organic food supermarket Whole Foods as well as numerous farm shops and delis across the UK. Throughout the country demand for high quality locally produced artisan products has increased, with a significant interest and enthusiasm being shown in London.

Peter Mitchell said, “I am delighted that Selfridges London have chosen to stock our award-winning products, this is a testament to our hard work and commitment over the years to produce the highest quality products possible. Across the UK we are seeing an increased demand for locally sourced haggis and black pudding with many consumers looking to support artisanal Scottish products”.

Founder of The Farmers Son, Pete Mitchell and his family have been farming and producing award-winning products for over 11 generations, based at their family farm in Auchertertool, Fife. The black pudding and haggis range are handcrafted in small batches to a 100-year-old, all-natural family recipe using only the finest locally sourced ingredients. This includes no artificial ingredients and reducing food miles by using home grown pork, Scotch grass fed beef, alongside oats and flour grown in Fife. The Farmer’s Son can be found in the food hall on the ground floor of the Selfridges London store.
